Hauler Store Extract
Overview
hauler store extract writes a single file, chart, directory, or git repository artifact from the content store back out to disk.
Use it when you need the raw artifact rather than a running service - for example, to pull an install script, binary, or chart .tgz out of the store and use it directly. It is the per-artifact counterpart to hauler store serve fileserver, which exposes the same files over HTTP instead. Pass --output to choose the destination directory (defaults to the current directory).
Note:
extractonly handles files, charts, directories, and git repositories. Container images cannot be extracted to disk - push them to a registry withhauler store copyor serve them withhauler store serve registryinstead.
Note: A directory artifact (added with
hauler store add directory) is extracted as a directory and replaces any existing directory of the same name in the output directory. See Extracting a Directory. A git repository (added withhauler store add git) is extracted the same way, as a bare repository.
An example with available flags...
hauler store extract <artifact-name> --output target-directory
